Males and Sires
A Sire is the name for the father of the puppies, also known as stud dog.
Our kennel carefully chooses registered purebred sires for our litters, from within our associate breeders’ kennels.

The sires we choose for our puppies have undergone the same health tests and requirements as our females.
Selected sires will have had hip and elbow scoring, DNA tests and eye certification and meet the Breed Standard for Labradors.
Not only do we ensure the screening above has been undertaken in the sires, we assess genetics and analyze the bloodlines of previous generations and combine this knowledge with our assessment of the dog’s conformation and structure, to determine which bloodlines will produce the best puppies, with good structure and good health. Many, many hours of research and analyzing goes into this aspect of breeding.
